Open House London is London's largest architectural festival and, as the name suggests, seeks to open up the capital's amazing range of buildings to the public – it's a showcase for what this great city has, so much of which we often simply overlook.
For the duration of the festival hundreds of great buildings all over London, from all different eras and in all different styles, open their doors to the public, completely 100% for free. And you know what they say about free? Yes, it's worth every penny.
In 2009 – the 17th year of Open House London – over 275,000 people visited the 700 buildings involved, as well as taking part in various walks, talks and other assorted events.
