Somerset House to open two new restaurants

Delicious food from Michelin-starred chef Tom Aikens comes to the wonderful Somerset House.

Somerset House

Somerset House looks set to further enhance its reputation as one of the best places to go in London with the announcement that Tom Aikens is transforming two of its existing restaurants. A rather snazzy new canopy will protect diners at the new Tom's Terrace whilst offering delightful views across the river Thames.

Tom's Terrace (formerly The River Terrace Café) will be unveiled on 29th April, and Michelin-starred Aikens will be offering dishes such as Tom's Kitchenn Tasting Board, which includes Coronation Crab Salad, Mini Burgers and Tartine of Red Onion and Aubergine Compote. Mmmm we're hungry already.

At the same time, the Admirality Restaurant will become Tom's Kitchen at Somerset House. Following the success of Tom's Kitchen in Chelsea, the concept will be the same, but transposed to the grand surroundings of Somerset House. Dishes will include Daylesford 7 hour Confit Lamb and Spicy Crème Brule.

After securing London Fashion Week in 2009, this news comes as yet another feather in the already impressive cap of Somerset House. Long may it continue.
