Vintage lovelies at the Thames Revival

When: 9th-11th September 2011
Where: St Katherine Docks
How much: £10-15

It's summertime! Which means the British public are looking a little less than glamorous. Wardrobe panic sweeps the nation as a few precious hot days cause the unenthusiastic to reach for those ever so lovely garish shorts, not forgetting the tiny vest that looked oh so good five years ago.

But hold on, there are some of us that revel in the summer, having collected enough nautical themed wear to be able to go out in full sailing regalia, though carefully distributing the white, navy and red so you don't go out looking like you've lost your boat. Well, this is your chance not to hold back, this is your chance to come out into the open, this is the time to show all your summer obsession!

The Thames Revival is from 9th to 11th September, and consists of a weekend of vintage boating at St Katharine Docks. There's over fifty classic boats, sailors in costumes, old fashioned deck games, and the dress code is...'nautical glamour through the ages'. At last your sailor hat can finally get the sea/Thames air it deserves!

As you saunter by in your carefully picked outfit you can enjoy live swing and jazz bands, classic cocktails, champagne and afternoon tea. Boating enthusiasts and vintage lovelies intermingle to create one elegant, bunting filled party. No practical sailing wear in sight.
