Cellar Boyz - Pay Me
Ben 'Cozmo D' Cenac might not mean a lot to some people, but the Brooklyn producer was a highly influential and creative producer in the '80s and '90s - if his name doesn't ring a bell, the names Sha'Lor and Newcleus should. Thug Records have recently reissued an EP of long-lost Cenac productions, including this one, which we can't recommend enough.

Medlar - Knockard Pearl (Detroit Swindle Remix)
This one came out at the back end of last year, but it deserves its place in here still. Two acts whose individual sounds helped shape house music over the last 12 months come together on this huge workout. A bare faced slap with a drum machine.
