"I make music to shake your booty to."

We’re a bit giddy with excitement about this week’s Spoonfed mix, which comes from a producer we’ve been crazy about since his so-smooth-you-feel-stoned track MLLNDLLR first crept onto our office playlist this summer: Sweater Beats.
After founding the record label Huh, What & Where with his friends at college, the New Yorker has had the blogs on meltdown with his choppy, RnB inspired sounds, full of distorted vocals over layers of jittery drums. We've been shaking it like Ms Fat Booty all day.
Tell us about the mix.
I recorded the mix in my bedroom. It's heavy on female vocals and down tempo vibes. That's pretty much the theme I was going for.
What's happening in New York at the mo?
There's so much going on in the city. There's a monthly event called BPM LWRLVL that always has great vibes. Obey City puts on these Astro Nautico events and they're really consistent in putting on a great line up. And of course the Interstellar Pig family (Tony Quattro, Branchez, Jaw Jam) and Bass Squad crew are doing big things here in NYC.
You can now have any picture you like knitted onto a personalized sweater. Who's on yours?
Aaliyah. I'd rock that sweater all the time.
