Line-ups, updates and news for 2000 Trees Festival 2011

Upcote Farm, Withington, Cheltenham, 14-16 July 2011

When: 14-16 July 2011
Where:
Upcote Farm, Withington, Cheltenham
How much: £59 for a full adult ticket, children under 10 free.

Isn't it great the way festivals are now springing all over the place, in opposition to the over-priced mainstream contenders? 2000 trees fits this description exactly, having started as 'a reaction to ever spiralling ticket prices, poor facilities and pursuit of profit at all costs'. They are also claiming that they'll restore our faith in British music, apparently with no genre restrictions. Happy days.

Taking place on a farm in Whitington, 2000trees is very much a green festival and is up there alongside the big names like Glastonbury and Latitude for its attention shown towards protecting the environment. And as for the music line up, they have announced Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, Frightened Rabbit, Amplifier and Your Demise along with many more.

This is not a half-bad attempt at festival rebellion, with tickets costing only £59 for two nights camping. And judging by the success of previous years which have seen the likes of Art Brut, The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster and British Sea Power, we reckon it might be worth a try.
