The Benicassim Festival takes place next to a beach in Spain in the port town of Benicassim. That there should be enough to sell it to you. Add the fact that musically they tend to book the absolute best of the best acts from across the indie, rock and dance spectrums, this really is one you need to experience. Headlining this year are The Stone Roses, New Order, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, De La Soul, Florence + The Machine and many, many more.
The cheapest (and most fun) way to enjoy the festival is to camp. There are two sites - one beside the festival and one in the town with a shuttle bus servicing it.
