Two epic all day sessions in east London this weekend.

It's already mid-September, and there are no signs of the elusive Indian summer. You're going to have to let go sometime and invest in your winter coat. Something to take your mind off the pending long dark English winter is the Brick Lane Music Festival, which is to be held on the weekend of the 18th/19th September in four of East London's best known venues, each of which has a line up of epic proportions playing anything from reggae to down tempo electronica. Oh and it's only bloody free!

Headlining at the Brick Lane institution that is the Big Chill Bar are regulars and seasoned favourites Mixmaster Morris and Earl Gateshead on Saturday, and Purple Radio and Dom Servini on Sunday. Vibe Bar has quite a treat in store, with none other than iconic old skool dnb and jungle legend Congo Natty who is sure to tear it up a notch on Sunday. Cafe 1001, being the intimate size that it is, is sure to be rammed to the rafters from start to finish, with a line-up featuring the likes of Beatsteady, Kid AM and Slauka & MC Kemon of R.E.N.E.G.A.D.E. Not only that, but here is where the festivities continue long into the evening as they’ll be hosting a late-night party for those of you keen to carry on.

Last but not least is the All Star Lanes, where if you fancy, you can have a discounted bowling session whilst DJ Mag and Rough Trade DJs will be spinning out good tunes throughout the weekend.

Good times to be had. You can get your entry wristbands on a first come, first served basis from any participating venue in the weeks leading up to the event, and limited amounts will be available on the day.
