For three weeks every summer, the City of London Festival attempts to inject a little life into the cultural black hole known as the Square Mile. Creatively making use of the many unique venues in the area, the festival hosts a wide range of music, visual arts, film screenings, lectures and numerous other events.

This year's line-up so far includes:

London Symphony Orchestra: Faure Requiem at St Paul's Cathedral
Peter Sculthorpe Requiem at Southwark Cathedral
City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra at St Paul's Cathedral
