The grand daddy of all rock festivals, Download is a place where anything can and probably will happen – from Bikers bringing a massive pumpkin mortar to attack other campsites to Metallica showing up in place of a string quartet.

Last year saw the likes of Rammstein, AC/DC, Them Crooked Vultures and Rage Against The Machine taking to the main stages and this year's line-up looks equally good with Def Leppard, System of a Down, Linkin Park, Disturbed and a cheeky return of The Darkness on the bill.
