With Pyramid headliners Muse, U2 and Stevie Wonder already announced, headliners for the Other Stage come in the form of The Flaming Lips, Pet Shop Boys and Orbital.

"This is it!" says Michael Eavis. "The most staggering line up to match the 40-year reputation of the Festival." We here at Spoonfed are dubious as to the validity of this statement, but another exciting year at the Pilton site looks a guarantee. With rumours rife that The Rolling Stones, Radiohead and Pavement would all be on the line-up, the distinct lack of any on the current official release means that the TBA slots littered across the stages would need to be pretty special.

It has to be said, a quite bizarre combination will ensue on the site's bigger stages, with the Pyramid Stage combining Willie Nelson and Lightning Seeds with the likes of Snoop Dogg and Dizzee Rascal. The Other Stage is the usual mix of indie, rock and crossover bands both new and old, with American favourites The National and Grizzly Bear sharing the bill with Reef and The Stranglers.

Work your way further down the order however and it seems some of the more interesting bookings may exist on Worthy Farm's smaller stages. John Peel Stage plays host to a range of artists including The Black Keys, Foals, Holy Fuck and Broken Social Scene. Whilst the Park Stage, which has slowly been building a reputation as one of the more interesting mixes of music across the weekend, boasts headliners in The XX, Midlake and Empire of the Sun. The stage on the top of the hill also sees Beach House, Strange Boys, Laura Marling and Dirty Projectors perform across the weekend.

A number of more intimate performances from bands playing on the bigger stages take place at the Queen's Head, a tent that was given its own space last year, and seems to be revelling in it. With Billy Bragg's Leftfield Stage, Shangri-La and Trash City not yet present on the bill, some of the more diverse appearances across the festival are still to be announced.

Fans of the dance area will be pleased to see N-Dubz are headlining Saturday's proceedings.
