Britain's biggest virtual band take the headline spot of one of Europe's biggest festivals this season
With a multitude of fans across the world, and following their spectacular sell-out performances at The Roundhouse and California's Coachella festival, it's no surprise that Damon Albarn, Mick Jones, Paul Simonon and the Gorillaz band have just been confirmed as the headliners of Spain's biggest festival, Benicassim.
You might say that the recent release of Gorillaz' new album 'Plastic Beach' has been perfectly timed for the 2010 festival season, when every organiser will be doing their utmost to secure such a live music laurel. We're sure revellers will be more than just a little bit pleased about this.
2D, Noodle, Murdoc and Russel Hobbs are to perform a full production of hits from their musically stupendous three albums; 'Demon Days', 'Gorillaz' and 'Plastic Beach', all adorned of course with their visually outstanding video animation, artwork and film by Jamie Hewlett.
