Line-ups, updates and news for Greenwich and Docklands International Festival 2012 as well as our tips for what to see.

When: 21st - 30th June 2012
Where: Greenwich and Docklands

The Greenwich and Docklands International Festival returns this year, with ten days of fantastic events (many of them free!) designed for all ages.

If the long range weather forecast is to be believed, Greenwich + Docklands International Festival will be even more of a treat than ususal.

This spectacular outdoor festival of dance, theatre and puppetry showcases the work of a host of fantastic companies. Some of it, as always, is a little risky but that's half the fun.

Of the shows that we're sure will be great, Inua Ellams' Knightwatch promises a cacophony of music and poetry to take you through the mad lanscape of London. Handspring Puppet Company's Crow by Ted Hughes will also be a spectacular piece of visal poerty - Handspring are the people behind Warhorse don't you know?

If you get a chance, see Graeae's Prometheus Awakes, created with La Fura and dels Baus. This reworking of ancient Greek myth sees an eight metre-high figure of the Greek titan rebels against the Greek god Zeus in order to give fire to mankind.
