Line-up, news and updates for Greenwich Summer Sessions 2010.

When: 21st-25th July 2010
Where: Greenwich
How much: from £22.50
This July sees the inaugural Greenwich Summer Sessions, a series of open-air concerts that celebrate the unusual history of Greenwich. Taking place in the rather splendid Old Royal Naval College, the Summer Sessions are being headlined by Seth Lakeman, The Levellers, the Royal Philarmonic Concert Orchestra, Jools Holland and Athlete.
The Summer Sessions have been concieved by local promoter Peter Conway and form part of The Greenwich Festivals, a series of events kicking off in June that seek to establish Greenwich as one of London's more prominent cultural and entertainment destinations. But it's not just about attracting visitors to what is already apparently London's most visited tourist attraction; it's also about fostering a sense of community – local Greenwich residents are being offered discounted tickets.
Peter Conway says: “Having been part of the cultural scene in Greenwich for over thirty years, both as a promoter and local resident, I am delighted to be promoting this new music festival in one of the world's most stunning venues.”
