Line-ups, news and updates for Hevy 2011

Hevy Fest

When:
5-8th August 2011
Where: Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, Kent

How much: £89 for a weekend ticket

Returning for the third year is Kent-based Hevy Festival. Being the only known festival to combine hardcore, rock, punk, metal and erm, lions it’s set within the grounds of Port Lympne Wild Animal Park - meaning a safari trip is included within each purchased ticket. No, really.

Always boasting some pretty impressive acts, 2010’s line-up featured Glassjaw, Gallows, Comeback Kid and The King Blues to name but a few. Alongside the big names, Hevy also boasts a local music stage, giving unknown and undiscovered local acts a platform to perform.

This year, the mighty Dillinger Escape Plan headline the Saturday.  Playing as their only European festival appearance, the New Jersey experimental hardcore boys bring their mix of metal and mathcore to the stage.
