Rediscover Kensignton and Chelsea through art, theatre and music with Intransit Festival
When: 19th July – 1st August
Where: Kensington and Chealsea
Prices: Free-£8
Promenade theatre is always popular and this summer London theatre bods are taking advantage of the weather and setting up truckloads of it.
InTransit Festival, a celebration of all things Kensington and Chelsea, showcases the work of Pip Productions who have cleverly combined cycling and theatre in a unique promenade performance that duses a BMX chase with bicycle choreography and theatre in its show The Bicycle Thieves (31st July-1st August)
The festival also includes some great looking pieces from The Gate Theatre including Susurrus (19th July-1st August) a part radio-play, part avant-garde sonic arts park stroll – sounds impressive right? Unsurprisingly, it was a sell-out hit at Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2009.
InTransit is designed to allow Londoners to rediscover Kensington and Chelsea, out finest districts and all the quirky little nuances they have to offer through art, music and theatre.
For a detailed programme see the InTransit website.
