Line-ups, updates and news for Kendal Calling 2012

When: 27 - 29 July 2012
Where: Lowther Deer Park, The Lake District
How Much: £112.50 Adult weekend ticket, £50 child ticket

In many ways, Kendal Calling embodies everything good you could imagine about a dance festival: Great Line-ups, natural surroundings, attractions, entertainment and all for the amazing price of £112! Other people obviously agree - they won the Best Small Festival at the 2010 UK Festival Awards. We're fully aware that we sound like a shameless advertisement but we really are gobsmacked by the amount you get for your money. The fact that it's in the Lake District may have something to do with this, but we're not complaining because it's actually the perfect excuse to get away for a few days.

Previous years have seen the likes of Pendulum, Grooverider, Super Furry Animals and Ash grace the main stage. And it seems that this year's line-up is just as stellar with the first announcements boasting Echo and The Bunnymen, The Levellers, Beardyman, The Charlatans Mark Collins, Mr Scruff and many more.

According to Annie Nightingale, Kendal Calling is "how festival's should be", and we are inclined to agree. This is thanks to the high calibre of music alongside all the best parts of UK festivals combined in one small price. So perhaps it's worth packing your bags this year and heading for the deer country. This is definitely a festival you have to see for yourself.
