Line-ups, updates and news for Larmer Tree Festival 2011.

When: July 13-17, 2011
Where: Larmer Tree Gardens (between Salisbury and Blandford)
How much: Adult 5-day ticket £197. Youth/Child tickets available.
The Larmer Tree Gardens were created in 1880 as pleasure grounds by the lengthily monikered Lietenant-Genral Augustus Henry Lane Fox Pitt, otherwise known as Augustus Pitt Rivers, the man whose amazing collection of curios form the basis for the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford.
In 1990, James Shepard started a jazz and blues festival in the gardens and since then the Larmer Tree Festival has gone from strength to strength, attracting a wide range of performers from across a range of musical genres. Past line-ups have included acts as diverse as King Creosote, Holly Golightly, Son of Dave, Seth Lakeman, Billy Bragg, Jools Holland, Seasick Steve, the Levellers and the brilliantly named Don Bradmans.
Even today the Larmer Tree Festival remains fiercely independent. Instead of big-name sponsors, the organisers rely on intimate relationships with local businesses: one of the original ‘boutique’ festivals.
