Today is your last chance to get a 3 day early bird ticket to The Great Escape festival, a steal for only £45.
The festival, often dubbed the UK’s SXSW, already offers its usual eclectic line-up of the newest music from across the globe with the likes of The Fiery Furnaces, Esben and the Witch, Real Estate, Ganglians and The Ruby Suns already announced, many more are still to be added.
Established acts Groove Armada, Chase and Status, Broken Social Scene, Marina and the Diamonds and Wild Beasts are amongst the headliners.
Taking place across 30 venues over 3 days in its seaside location, from theatres to clubs to the oldest cinema in the world (apparently), the festival offers both the chance to soak up the hottest acts of tomorrow with some good old fashioned fish and chips, and the unofficial start to the UK festival season.
Surprise performances litter the weekend and last year came from a certain Pete Doherty and his ramshackle Babyshambles, perhaps inadvisably on the roof of a bar, and local boys The Maccabees . All this alongside free BBQ’s on the seafront, mean you really would be mad to miss out.
