Chilly Gonzales, Wanda Jackson and the Royal Shakespeare Company amongst the new announcements for East Anglia's fastest growing festival.

We love it when we get an email from Latitude these days. Not only is it shaping up to be the festival to go to if you missed out on Primavera and SXSW, it also means that someone in office will put on the Misfit’s ‘Attitude’, which is a really bad-ass song.
The purpose of today’s email was to fill in some of the gaps in the line up. With the festival already boasting the likes of Paul Weller, Laura Marling, Lana Del Rey and White Lies, they aren’t that many gaps to fill in, but with the announcement of larger-than-life Canadian pianist Chilly Gonzales, Van Dykes Park and The Britten Sinfonia as well as Demidike Stare and Twin Shadow, at least all of those beard scratchers out there will have something to stare at.
It’s over on the Film and Music arena that most of the new stuff seems to be happening. With former Never Mind the Buzzcocks presenter Mark Lamarr hosting a action packed line-up of soul, reggae, country and gospel that he’s called God’s Jukebox, he’ll be putting on the likes of Big Boss Man, Gizzelle and the legendary Wanda Jackson.
As well as more musical treats, the festival has also added more flavour to it’s arts line up, with BAFTA taking over the Film and Music Arena for film showings and talks from Shame director Abi Morgan, Sadler’s Wells presenting extracts from the new Bollywood musical Wah Wah Girls down at the Waterfront Stage and the ever popular Graduate Fashion Show returning to Latitudes waterside.
To find out more about all this new stuff and more, check out Latitude’s website. Better yet, why not grab a ticket and get yourself down to the festival on the 12th of July. We promise you won’t regret it!
