The London Literature Festival returns to Southbank this year, with a line-up that surpasses last year's impressive collection of personalities.

There's a wide range of eclectic attendees scheduled to appear, including artists covering all manner of mediums; from writers, poets and  artists, to architects, musicians and performance artists, and more than a few celebrities included for good measure.

There's a regular cavalcade of award-winning authors showcasing their work at the festival, This year the great lyric poet James Fenton reads from 'Yellow Tulips, Poems 1968-2011' and author, artist and dramatist Mark Haddon presents a one-man talk about great white sharks, cosmology, creative writing, engine fires and ice hockey.

There are some great writers in conversation events too. Clive Stafford Smith in discussion with Jon Snow has made it on to our Best of July list of readings, talks, lectures, debates and we're looking forward to Stella Duffy, Alexei Sayle, Iain Sinclair and Oscar Zarate will be discussing London, stories and architecture on Tuesday 10th.

There's way too much planned for us to be able to cover even a percentage of it here, but check out www.londonlitfest.com for a full line-up and schedule for the event. With such a wide-range of featured events there's going to something for every taste.
