Described as 'the UK's only conscious clubbing experience' whatever that means, Puravida is a regular get-together on a beautiful estate in Dorset featuring a recurring line-up of trance and breaks DJs plus special guests. Regular performers include Subgiant, Sacha Dieu, Greg Dread of Dreadzone and One Hand Clapping. Puravida cult favourites, basically – most of the music is psy trance.
There's an emphasis on well being, with dozens of workshops and meditation sessions led by various gurus. You can study disciplines including tantra, biodanza, self enquiry, yoga, the lambada and the hula hoop, between bouts of dancing and getting thoroughly twisted.
