Ray Davies helps Meltdown to celebrate their 60th

Celebrating its 60th anniversary, the Southbank Centre’s very own Meltdown Festival has released the first wave of artists due to play.
In previous years the festival has hosted a whole host of musicians, comedians, poets filmmakers and more. With this year no different, they’re celebrating their 60th in style with Ray Davies making an appearance. Due to close the whole festival, he’ll play material from The Kinks back catalogue, as well as his own solo stuff.
Joining him will be ska legends Madness, in all their baggy trousered glory. Recently announced for this year’s Reading and Leeds Festivals, the band add the Royal Festival Hall to their summer touring schedule.
Also performing will be The Fugs, The Sonics, Wire and Nick Lowe among others.
