Line-ups, news and updates on Slam Dunk 2011

When: Leeds: 28th May/Hatfield: 29th May
Where: Leeds University/Herts Uni, Hatfield
How much: £32.50 (Leeds date SOLD OUT)
Originally starting up in Leeds, the festival has now expanded to host more than 40 bands over multiple stages and 5 cities.
In 2010, Slam Dunk festival had its sights firmly set on the South and so, like the punk-rock juggernaut it is, conquered Hatfield making the fair town its second home and unleashing a host of punk, rock, ska and metal bands loose to run amok at Hertfordshire university. Deemed a success, the festival has decided to keep Hatfield as a permanent addition, meaning all you lucky Londoners don’t have far to travel.
Alongside the 2 main days at Leeds and Hatfield, the festival also hosts spin-off events in Southampton, Glasgow, and Birmingham with a selection of the main acts performing.
With Slam Dunk Records celebrating its 10 year anniversary, this year’s festival was always going to be special. Ska-heavy this year, acts already announced include Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish, Goldfinger and a special reunion show from pop-punk favourites The Starting Line.
