Is it just us that thought the Southport Weekender was a chavvy hard-dance rave? Well apparently it's not. The bi-annual music weekender started off as a soul festival and has four different arenas catering for a wide range of music tastes from house to r'n'b, soul, breakbeat, jazz, funk, hip hop and garage.
This year they have some wonderful funk and soul treats, including Alice Russel, Ben Westbeech and Avery Sunshine. DJ wise they are flaunting some awesome DJs, including Roger Sanchez, Derrick Carter and Carl Craig. Plus you get to stay in a chalet.
