Line-ups, news and updates on The Thames Festival 2011.

Various venues, 10 and 11 September 2011

Named after the river and taking place at one of its most famous locations - on the banks and walkways courting Westminster and Tower Bridge - The Thames Festival is a free two-day event that brings together a vast array of performers and attendees in the name of celebration pure and simple.

Atrracting more than half a million visitors, details of individual events vary greatly, reflecting both the cultural diversity of the city and the desire to get as many people as possible out and into the centre. That means the usual suspects of music, dance and street theatre are present, as well as light displays, interactive games, film-making demonstrations, photo competitions, food stalls...the list is almost endless.
