STD symptom awareness cupcake box set from Jenni Powell
Care for a genital wart cupcake? How about an eye disorder biscuit? No? Fungus toe cookie? Prostate cancer truffle box set? Emphysema lung cake?
All these grisly baked goods and more will be on sale at Eat Your Heart Out 2012, a pathology-inspired cake festival curated by freelance creative director and queen of evil cakes, Miss Cakehead.
Running from 26th-28th October at St Bartholomew's Pathology Museum, the festival aims to educate the public on anatomy and diesease with information leaflets, lectures and some disturbingly realistic cakes. As well as a cake shop serving disturbing but delicious goodies, there will be a bar serving up cocktails such as the 'Stool Sample' and 'Stomach Contents' a cocktail inspired by the stomach contents of a suicide victim, with a shot of absinthe on the top 'to reflect the green hue of stomach bile'. Nom Nom Nom.

Assistant curator and The Pathology Museum's technician Carla Connelly said: "The museum has played host to some exciting events over the last year, from taxidermy lessons to wine tasting nights and evening lectures. It's the perfect location for an event as unique as Eat Your Heart Out – a project that aims to make people aware of how important the study of disease is, in a way that's fun, popular – thanks to television shows like The Great British Bake Off – and completely unforgettable.
"Within each section of the show there will be information leaflets corresponding to the products, and lectures will occur throughout the venture. For example, the 'mole cupcakes' will be sold and displayed with information about melanoma, detailing the dangers of sunbeds, melanoma statistics and how to check moles for malignancy. Gill Nuttall from the melanoma charity Factor50 will also be lecturing on the subject."
