London Restaurant Festival, Wahaca's Day of the Dead Fiesta and House of Wolf.

Tuesday 2nd-Sunday 14th October
Graze (LRF) @ various locations
£12.50
This year's London Restaurant Festival has some fun, new events on its roster, including Graze; a restaurant crawl of sorts around some of London's best foodie neighborhoods, such as Marylebone High Street, Exmouth Market, Bermondsey Street, Charlotte Street, Brixton Village and Soho. Just buy a Graze keyring for an area of your choice and you get a free glass of wine when you purchase a dish in any particpating restaurant on the street. We like the sound of Charlotte Street's line-up which includes BubbleDogs – probably the closest you'll get to it this month!
1st, 6th & 13th October
Grey Goose Taste by Appointment (LRF) @ various locations
£75
Held in top London restaurants Bread Steet Kitchen, Hakkasan and Dabbous to coincide with London Cocktail Week; these three hour tasting sessions sound rather special. There will be Grey Goose 'Le Fizz' cocktails on entry', followed by cocktails created by each resturant's 'tastemaker' for the evening, from Stuart Gillies at Bread Street Kitchen, to Tong Chee Hwee at Hakkasan and Oskar Kinberg at Dabbous. The restaurant provides the canapes, as well as some 'taste experiments', each one designed to demonstrate how our senses affect the way we taste. Each guest then recieves a one-to-one consultation and gets a bespoke cocktail created to their personal taste, along with the recipe so they can recreate it at home or order it in a bar. Some participating restaurants will also provide a reduced price, three course dinner menu afterwards, which you will need by then to soak up all the booze.
Saturday 13th-Sunday 14th October
RumFest @ London ExCeL Centre
£25-40
The world's largest rum festival, RumFest has over 400 different rums for you to taste and buy. You can also sample cocktails mixed by the UK's best mixologists, burn your mouth on goodies from the Tropical Food Market, watch live musical entertainment and attend cocktail-making classes conducted by master blenders.
31st October-3rd November
Wahaca Day of the Dead @ Old Vic Tunnels
Day tickets £5, Evenings from £31
A four day fiesta of music, food, art and film, which sees the Old Vic Tunnels transformed into Wahaca's very own temporary street kitchen and Mezcaleria bar. There will be a special live performance from jazz-metal duo Rodrigo y Gabriela, plus an exhibition of work by acclaimed Mexican photographer Graciela Iturbide and newly commissioned installations of visual arts by the London based Le Gun collective, British artist Hew Lock and Nancy Fouts.
5th-31st October
Caroline Hobkinson @ House of Wolf
£45
House of Wolf is a new three-story, Victorian lair in Islington that combines experimental dining, drinking and live entertainment all under one roof. Each month it will host a different guest residency and kicking it all off in October is food artist and conceptual chef Caroline Hobkinson, with a dining experience called Look, Listen, Smell, Touch, Eat! Her set menu – focusing on top British seasonal produce – has been designed in conjunction with Experimental Psychologist Professor Charles Spence, to heighten each of the senses and delight the taste buds. Dinner is served Tuesday-Saturday, from 6pm-11pm.
