The band aim to close July's UK tour with a show at the O2 Academy on the 25th

Alongside the constant attention from 15 years olds asking you to kick-flip even though you’ve not even seen a skateboard in 11 years, the biggest problem when you’re the world’s biggest pop-punk band is that you keep having to play these massive arena shows where most of your fans only get to see you as tiny ants playing instruments half a mile away. Obviously this is a sad state of affairs, so Blink-182 have decided that they’ll play one fairly intimate show at the Brixton Academy this July as the closing night of their UK tour.
According to drummer Travis Barker, the band are super-stoked by the prospect of getting fairly close to their audience. "We're super excited to be doing a couple of smaller club shows at the end of our European run. It’s been a while since we’ve done shows in the UK like this and we think it will be awesome for our fans and for us too. I’m leaving next week to come over to Europe and can’t wait to see all of our fans at the shows!"
The gig will be taking place on the 25th July with tickets costing £35 a pop. Going on sale this Friday, we recommend hovering over gigsandtour.com like a lonely hawk if you have an inclination to go.
