The duo will release 'Water' on January 21 2013, ahead of a show at Sheperd's Bush Empire...

Brighton two piece Blood red shoes have announced a headline date at Sheperd's Bush Empire. The duo will take to the stage on the 22nd of January and will be joined by screamy noise rockers Rolo Tomasi and blues metal outfit Wet Nuns.

The gig will come just one day after the release of their recently announced EP, 'Water'. The forthcoming release is the product of a recording session with producer John Congleton, who has previously worked with The Roots, The Walkmen and Explosions in the Sky.

The band's choice of producer is quite significant as it was at a gig for Congleton's old band, The Paper Chase, that the two members met first met. They have maintained a friendship with Congleton ever since and decided in October of this year to finally work in the studio together. The three track ep was recorded in Dallas, Texas the day after their US tour ended and is inspired by their travels through the United States.

The entire EP is availible to stream from the band's Soundcloud. Listen below.
