Essex indie legends to release thier first new song since the stone age.

It’s not like we spend our time reading The Sun or anything, but if you get past the page 3 in today’s edition, you’ll find the exciting news that Blur is poised to release their new single in 7 years, which is geological time in popular music.
Available as part of next week’s Record Store Day, the as-yet unnamed release will be limited to 1000 copies, available in selected independent record stores across London and the rest of the UK. Quote Damon Albarn, “We want independent record stores to continue - they're an important part of our musical culture. Music is a simple way for Blur to show our support and we hope people like it.”
Needless to say, demand will be pretty high – so we’d recommend either camping out all night outside of Rough Trade, or praying to the gods of providence that the band will see it in their hearts to release it digitally or something.
Record Store Day supports independent record stores across the World, and will see a whole bunch of weird and wonderful EP’s, singles and tuneage released by a massive variety of artists – check out recordstoreday.com for more details.
