PARK LIFE!

What is it with Blur and outside shows nowadays? Poised to collect the Brit Award for lifetime achievement (woah, just saying that makes us feel old), the Essex four piece have now announced that they will be headlining a massive Olympics closing party in Hyde park this summer.
Returning to the site of their massive summer shows of 2009, the event is designed to be the after party for the closing ceremony. Fans will get to watch the games officially handed over to Rio on big screens before rocking out to a evening of live music that will also include sets from The Specials and New Order.
Another concert is also taking place in Hyde Park on July 27th to mark the opening of the games. There will also be a series of free performances in the park throughout the games.
Tickets for the BT London Live Closing Ceremony Celebration Concert go on Friday at 9am from www.btlondonlive.com.
