Libertine set for surprise show tonight

Carl Barat

Carl Barat has announced that he will be playing a surprise show at The Old Queen’s Head tonight (21st March).

Barat, best known for his work with The Libertines and The Dirty Pretty Things, released his debut solo album last year. The emergence of his solo career was met with mixed responses, but Carl himself proclaimed it to be his best work yet: "I’d had it with bands...I always knew in my soul that this album was the truth and I genuinely love this record. I’ve never said that about a record I’ve made."

With a headline show at Koko scheduled for 4th April, tonight’s spontaneous performance presents an intimate opportunity. Tickets were available to fan club and mailing list members who entered a competition, they have now all been allocated.
