Dum Dum Girls to play in-store at Rough Trade East

Best of all, it's free!

Can’t afford tickets for Dum Dum Girls' show at ULU next week? We feel your pain. Fortunately lazy, disorganised and poor Londoners have been given the chance to see the LA-based four piece for free this Saturday, as they’re playing a last-minute in-store at Rough Trade East.

Kicking off a week-long tour of the UK in support of their second album ‘Only in Dreams’, the Girls have added more than a little emotional weight to their usually sweet lo-fi pop on their latest release. Although it still sticks to the tried and tested formula of bright, wall of sound indie pop, a new found grittiness now lies at the heart of their sound, and it's not gone unnoticed by the indie press. The record has been lapped up by the mainstream and bloggosphere alike.

With the tour due to officially start on the 13th with a gig at Manchester’s FAC251 Club, this will be a rare chance to see Dum Dum Girl's at the sort of venue they just don't play anymore. No pressure then...
