We apologise for the delay - we're currently experiencing technical difficulties.

Foo Fighters

While Foo Fighters front-man Dave Grohl was recently crowned 'Godlike Genius' at the NME awards, it seems even he can't avert certain disasters.

Screened in over 300 cinemas across the world, the film entitled 'Back and Forth' documents the band's career from the tragic death of Kurt Cobain and the dissolution of Nirvana to Grohl forming the Foo Fighters and the 16 years as a band up until the release of latest album 'Wasting Light'.

As part of the screening, fans were promised a recorded performance of 'Wasting Light' in its entirety by Grohl and co, ahead of its release in the UK this Monday (11th April).

It was at this point fans complained of technical issues. Some cinemas received no audio feed, while others had issue with the picture, leading the whole performance to be cast with an eerie green tinge.

Taking to Twitter, fans were quick to mention the issues at hand, showing the fault was an international problem and thus not the fault of individual theatres.

As of yet, no formal comment has been made but the band did tweet: “Hey you guys, now hearing that there were tech difficulties at some theatres and we're really bummed because we love the movie AND our fans. Just know that we're sorry if you didn't get the whole enchilada....we're workin' on it..... Stay tuned.....hearts and unicorns....Dave”.

Here in the UK, cinema companies VUE, Cineworld and Odeon all showed the film, with customers reporting of certain cinemas offering free tickets in the way of an apology.

While obviously an unfortunate end to 'Back and Forth', fans were also quick to state how fantastic the documentary itself was with many commenting on how the technical issues shouldn't detract from such an open and honest piece of film-making.

At the time of writing, no formal comment has been made as to why the issues arose.
