Your chance to ask the experts about the Mercury Music Prize.

Ever wanted to find out about what goes into the decision-making process behind choosing the winner to the Mercury Music Prize? Feel like voicing your opinion on this year's nominations and past years' winners? Simply want to know what makes a great album? Well look no further than 'Have Your Say'. A live web TV show hosted by the queen of rock 'n' roll broadcasting Jo Whiley, it aims to open up the floor for public questions on the 2010 Barclaycard Mercury Music Prize.

The Mercury Music Prize has always dived opinion, sparking debates amongst music critics and fans alike on the merits of certain albums and eventual winners. This year is no different with Dizzee Rascal, The XX and Laura Marling all in the running. You can see Spoonfed's summary of the nominations here.

This live one-off broadcast, to be broadcast on Friday, features some of the leading experts on music including the devilishly hard to please music journalist Chris Salmon, former Mercury prize nominee David Okumu (who was nominated with his band The Invisible in 2009) and Capital FM's Head of Music Mark Findlay.

With a range of experts then, this will be the perfect opportunity to find out from an artist's perspective what the prize means or to discuss the popular merits of the albums on the shortlist. I for one will be asking why Gorillaz are not on the shortlist (although it's probably because they refused a nomination in 2001).

The broadcast will take place tomorrow at 4pm and will then be available on-demand after the event.
