Mark Ronson announced for Freeze Festival

Like sticking your stereo in a freezer, this is cool.

Mark Ronson is cool again, apparently, according to the NME at least, and you have to agree with them on this instance. Now he's stopped playing the theme tune to The OC and murdering The Smiths, and instead released the fine 'Bang Bang Bang', his 'cool' stock has risen considerably. Which is good timing seeing as it's just been announced that he will headline the Saturday night of Freeze Festival this year. The festival, now entering its third year, takes place at the end of October in the shadow of the Battersea Power Station and combines extreme wintersports with a fantastic line-up of live music.

New confirmations for the festival also include New Young Pony Club who continue to produce electro grooves for fun, like they're in fact living inside Gary Numan's head, and I Blame Coco who sings and dances like her dad. So if watching the best skiers and snowboarders in the world performing some tricks whilst doing a bit of a dad jig sounds your thing, then the Big Freeze Festival could be for you. Mark Ronson says “it's going to be ill,” and apparently that's really cool speak for mega-awesome. Sounds cool.
