Rumour has it Slint are likely to reform next year...

Though seminal post rock group Slint have reunited a handful of times since their 1991 breakup, it's been nearly six years since they last embarked on a tour together. And it's nowapproaching a decade since the release of their final album 'Spiderland'.
In a recent interview, former guitarist David Pajo hinted at the possbility of a reuinion perhaps a follow up record, admitting that he and the rest of the Kentucky group still communicate regularly and [have] got some surprises for next year that fans will be excited about.'
Cynics amongst you might be having flashbacks of the over the hill rockers The Rolling Stones' recent spate of incredibly over priced live dates, or the maybe just the ungodly amount of once great bands with "indie cred" that have pulled on their checked shirts and ripped jeans for another grasp at glory. On the other hand we here at Spoonfed are very psyched indeed at the prospect of a new album or reunion tour, though we'll draw the line at arena tours and £150 tickets.
Slint, who are best known for their albums 'Tweez' and 'Spiderland, first reunited in 2005 to curate that year's All Tomorrow's Parties Festival. They reformed a second time two years later to play a set of shows at Primavera Sound Festival, ATP's Don't Look Back festival in London and various shows around Europe.
All this talk of seminal indie rock bands got you in the mood for a music festival? Have a look at next year's ATP line up.
