Strummerville announces Westway Round The UK Tour

by: Spoonfed Live Music Team

The registered music charity Strummerville,  aims to help talented musicians be heard, and gain the exposure they may not be able to get otherwise. From the infamous Strummerville Campfire Sessions at Glastonbury to other festivals such as the Secret Garden Party and various other venues throughout the country, the best new talent has been sought out and they'll now be embarking on a week-long UK tour.

From Sunday 10th October, Westway round the UK will be taking a selection of up and coming bands who were chosen at various festivals – starting in Sheffield, at the venue where The Clash played their first ever gig. The tour will also be visiting the cities of Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle, Bristol and Leeds, before it lands at The Flowerpot in Kentish Town on Sunday 17th October for a free all-day session.

On the line-up for every night of the tour is Beans On Toast, a gravel-voiced troubadour whose songs are loaded with irony and bittersweet anecdotes, sure to take you on a rollercoaster of emotions. The Supernovas are four lads from Camden, whose songs encapsulate the fast times and easy highs of life in the big bad city. Rum Shebeen are a tropical punk ensemble, complete with steel pans, swirling keyboards and a singer with some smooth moves up his sleeve. Support acts are yet to be announced.
