The festival loads up some more talent

Indie-dance act The Sunshine Underground are the latest band to join headliners Black Grape for this year’s Get Loaded in the Dark festival at the Coronet Theatre on Easter Thursday (1st April).

The Leeds quartet are amongst several new acts confirmed for the all day festival, including party boys The Young Fathers, electro upstart Grum, and remix master Jakwob, who have also been confirmed for the main stage.

The announcement comes just weeks after it was revealed that foulmouthed baggy hero Shaun Ryder would be reforming his mid-90s band, Black Grape, to headline the event with their first show since 1997.

Set across three different stages and with a variety of indie and dance acts, Get Loaded in the Dark is an offshoot from the success of Get Loaded in the Park, which last year took place in Clapham Common and featured performances from Rod Da Bank and Orbital.

However, with the outside event not due to run this year, promoters Lock N Load events suggest the Coronet Theatre show will be the first of several indoor events this year.

Tickets are on sale now, with the last few Saver tickets available likely to set you back just £15.
