Sonic Youth's front man is playing 2 dates in September.

Now that Sonic Youth are on a bit of break, Thurston Moore seems to be cropping up everywhere. Not content with bandying around with his new band; Chelsea Light Moving, he’s teaming up with Mats Gustafsson for two nights at Cafe OTO this September. Believe us, this is a guy who can easily sell out the Hammersmith Apollo, so this really is a big deal.
With his last show at the Dalston venue selling out in two hours, Cafe OTO is looking forward to a brilliant evening of poetry and heavy improv, and with Mats coming to the show on the back of gigs with Neneh Cherry and The Thing, this should be even more spectacular than last time.
In another quick bit of Cafe OTO news, the guys will be bringing a bit of Japanese avant rock to Clapton in October as they take over The Round Chapel to put on Keiji Haino’s power trio Fushitsusha. Looks like it'll a real treat.
Thurston Moore plays Cafe OTO on the 21st and 22nd of September. Tickets are on sale over on the venue's website.
