April: London Clubbing

The clubbing team pick the best nights in London this April.

8th April
Trouble Vision @ Corsica Studios
Oh. Yes. Trouble Vision know what a good line-up looks like. Persistently mixing the fresh with the darn good, this time they bring Dirtybird extraordinaire Mr Justin Martin with his bumping brand of house, and relative newcomer but absolute smasher Julio Bashmore to headline. Room two looks like this: dubstep and DMZ hero Loefah, plus Dark Sky and Wookie. The residents are also brilliant in their own right; Mr Solid Gold and Oli DAB and Robin reliably cane the floor with their sets. This looks awesome.

9th
April
Cocoon London @ Secret Location
The Romanian trio who rocked the techno world - a:rpia:r - aka Pedro, Rhadoo and Raresh - come to London once again to slide the cross-fader home and dose you with deep, throbbing, luscious techno. A performance from these three is something very special - and tonight it's an 8-hour marathon which will leave you in a trance. They induce pure feeling with their music. In room two it's Markus Fix and Ilario Alicante.

21st April
Adventures In The Beetroot Field @ fabric
Indoor festival AITBF returns as is traditional this Easter with another belter of a line-up. This has been happening for 6 years and is the archetypal summer festival warm-up. Tonight they keep it fresh with Riton and Mehdi appearing together as Carte Blanche, jagged melodists D/R/U/G/S playing live and room three is hosted by So Bones. They are a tri-city (London, NYC, Bristol) celebration of everything that is great about overly sexed-up, chart-bothering, contemporary RnB with sets from Romy XX, Night Slug's Girl Unit, DJ Tearjerker and the collective's main protagonist Tri Angle.

24th April
Junk Department Warehouse Party 01 @ Secret Location
Junk throw down the first in a series of warehouse parties - continuing their trail-blazing, ask-questions later rave policy. Drawn together six years ago, the Junk family is comprised of DJs, producers, promoters, artists and ravers from Bristol and London - with some Sicilian and Eastern European spice thrown in. What unites them is the desire to put on some of the best parties in the world. April's debut features an interesting amalgamation of beat-bringers; Chicago house don DJ Sneak, French DJ and producer Shonky, rave ringleader and chief wrong 'un Tim Sheridan and king of the undead Shane Watcha. Deep and tech house DJ Craig Torrence completes the bill. This is just the main course - there will be pre and after parties to complete the Junk feast.

30th April
Black Atlantic Present Modeselektor @ Secret Location
Black Atlantic are always bringing the heat. Tonight they team up with Berlin producers Modeselektor for a secret Modeselektion warehouse party. The full line-up is still to be announced - but tickets are flying off the shelf so don't hold back. And if having Modeselektor on a bill isn't enough to encourage you to buy a ticket then I don't know what is.
