The Spoonfed Arts Team pick out the biggest exhibitions opening in London this April.

From 1st April
The Pedestrians @ South London Gallery
Weird. A fusion of live art, installation, sculpture, video and music all jumbled up together to transform the main gallery space at South London Gallery into a kind of wacky film set. Filled with all manner of bits and bobs (cinema flats, mirrors, scaffolding and a treadmill) this basically sounds totally nuts.
From 2nd April
Since Tomorrow @ EB&Flow
A brand new contemporary art gallery arrives on the Shoreditch scene this April with an exhibition of work across a whole host of media. The 3,000 square foot EB&Flow gallery promises to provide a platform for today's most exciting young artistic talent, so this is definitely a bold beginning. We like the look of Katie Louise Surridge's installation in particular.
From 14th April
Miro @ Tate Modern
London's first major retrospective of the works of Joan Miro in nearly 50 years. Regarded by many as one of the finest Surrealist painters - and indeed one of the twentieth century's greatest artists - this is one of 2011's biggest exhibitions. On dislay are over 150 paintings, drawings and sculptures, as Tate Modern seeks to revisit the political side to Miro's life and works.
From 15th April
Alice Anderson's Childhood Rituals @ Freud Museum
This summer sees the Freud Museum tying itself in knots. Or rather, contemporary artist Alice Anderson is tying it in knots - by wrapping the exterior of the building in thousands of metres of red dolls' hair. Inside the museum are a series of new sculptures, also involving dolls, that continue Anderson's exploration of dreams, memories and fantasies - perfectly in keeping with the work of Freud himself.
From 15th April
Dutch Landscapes @ Queen's Gallery
42 exquisite works form the Dutch golden age of landscape painting. With works on show by the likes of Jacob van Ruisdael, Aelbert Cuyp and Meyndert Hobbema, the Queen's Gallery presents an impressive showcase for the significance of this period in art history.
