Now in its fourth year running the Bloodlust Ball is the one to watch, aiming to do nothing less than seriously impress in the stunning surroundings of Hampton Court House. Famous amongst celebrities, its over-the-top decadent event includes an exquisite cocktail reception greeting followed by a grill/BBQ out in the gardens (by the impressive lake). With various performances throughout the night before the event kicks off, its hefty ticket price is well worth every penny if you're looking to go all out for this year's halloween festivities.
Dress code: Victorian horror, werewolves, ghosts, zombies, monsters, witches and warlocks.
Price range: £75 - £110
Torture Garden's Halloween Ball
Torture Garden has been running since 1990 and has earned its reputation as the largest fetish club in Europe. Running monthly, TG regularly transform their range of venues into creative, underground sin fests open to people of all persuasions. One of their biggest events is their Halloween Ball, which always attracts a sell-out crowd of freakishly dressed and deviously debauched clubbers. With a huge amount of DJs, shows and entertainment going on, you're free to get as involved as you like with what (or who) is going on throughout the night. Top fetish performers from all over the world indulge in visual delights, and a strict dress code is enforced at the door (best described as "if what you’re wearing wouldn’t get you stared at in the street, don’t bother even queueing up to get in"). Set in Mass - an old converted church in Brixton - expect this event to be packed out with some of the craziest costumes you've ever seen and a whole lot of latex.
Dress code: No cheese & cheap fancy dress, no casual street/club wear, no cotton t-shirts. See TG website for full strict dress-code.
Price range: £30 (members), £35 on the door.
Witness a transformation of "the country's finest art deco cinema into the most glamorous Halloween ball the world has ever seen" (The Troxy, E1). Run by the infamous Last Tuesday Society, this event has so much to offer: live bands, sinister face painting, creepy & kooky fetish performance art, live snakes and taxidermy, life drawing and a hot tub (!) to name just a few. There's simply too much to list! All with a rather reasonable entrance fee, you'd be on to a winner with the Hendrick's Halloween Ball.
Price range:
£12.50 - £30
