Kings of Disco
8 Nov
For the latest in BBE's 'Kings of…' compilation series, Joey Negro and Dmitri from Paris put together a set of their all-time disco favourites. Here you get the live-on-the-night version.
Best For: People who thought about going to something 'totally banging', but then realised they'd probably just get a headache and want to go home

Rizla End Of Year Party
14 Nov
Chicago house heavyweight Derrick Carter headlines the Rizla end of year party, with Hacienda granddaddy Greg Wilson hosting the lounge.
Best For: House music: lots of it

Border Community
22 Nov
Thanks to The End's impending closure, this is a last gasp and firm pat on the back for the long-running Border Community label night. Expect pastoral euphoria to the maximum from James Holden, Keiran Hebden (better known as Four Tet) and Queen of bPitch control Ellen Allien – her techy, abstract work is pretty astonishing.
Best For: A last dose of superior West End nightlife

Hercules and Love Affair
28 Nov
Being a breakthrough dance artist in 2008 doesn't have to involve paint-stripping electro tropes that, like White Lighting, only appeal to teenagers. Or bright leggings, which, like White Lightning, only appeal to teenagers. Hercules and Love Affair celebrate the fact with a valedictory live show.
Best For: Cool mums

Hi-Tek-Soul
29 Nov
Who knows how a self-consciously auteur-ish character like Derrick May feels about it, but even the most lumpen hordes at least know his name. Apparently his residency at Ministry features a special laser that projects an artificial halo (according to a complete liar we know).
Best For: worshipping at the temple of Detroit
