Paperweight
From 7th October
We've heard nothing but good things about this Fringe masterpiece charting the descent into madness of two workaday office crones.
Best For: Smart physical theatre and great jokes

Elephant Man
From 8th October
A fringe theatre debut for this theatrical re-working of the tragic but inspiring life of John Merrick.
Best For: Tears, you really ought to take a hankie for this one

Marinsky Ballet
From 13th October
The world's best ballet company have several UK tour dates coming up but seats at Sadler's Wells are comfortable, and cheap - a tenner.
Best For: Ballet - they really are the best in the world

Once And For All We're Gonna Tell You Who We Are So Shut Up And Listen
From 25th October
Pioneering Beligian theatre company Ontoroend Goed's productions are never less than gripping, and this stufy of teenagers promises to be voyeuristic, shocking and slightly icky.
Best For: Drama that grips and changes its audience

For You
From 28th October
Sinister sexually simmering opera borne out of a collaboration between Michael Berkeley and novelist Ian McKewan. Expect wonderful music and sharply barbed dialogue.
