Best of September: London Clubbing

by: Spoonfed Team

The whole Spoonfed team have compiled some helpful guides to the best things going on in London this September.

Dam Funk and Rustie

4th September

Soundcrash do it AGAIN with this simply incredible line-up. A handful of the most exciting and innovative acts in the world come together under the decadent mirrorballs of Koko to open your minds and move your souls. Known as Los Angeles' 'Ambassador of Boogie Funk', Dam-Funk brings his full live show tonight. Witness his twist on funk and boogie; plugged in and electrifying.
Rustie is a producer whose intoxicating music fuses dubstep, garage, rave and genius. He plays his first ever live show tonight. Tokimonsta is Brainfeeder's first lady - and a producer who has carved a niche in future bass. Dimlite is lauded as Switzerland's answer to Flying Lotus - wonky electronic soul played live people.

Best For: Future Bass

FWD>> and Rinse 16th Birthday
10th September

After an exciting summer for Rinse fm which saw the pirate radio station gain a long coveted fm license the crew pull out a no holds barred heavyweight line up at the legendary Fabric.

Taking over all three rooms rooms each one will be bursting at the seams with the freshest in dubstep, funky house and grime - all programmed by the radio station which essentially made each of these scenes what they are today.

Short of bringing in the BFG this could not be any bigger.

Best for: Bass Bins

Drumcode
25th September

For techno lovers, this is the one. Legend of the Swedish Techno scene, Adam Beyer, who is renowned for his hard percussive sound, will be showcasing his globally acclaimed label Drumcode, a diverse and innovative brand of techno. He will be joined by Chris Liebing (it is rare to see them at the same party) and a whole host of big hitters from the label for one MASSIVE rave under the arches.

Best for: Techno, Techno, Techno!

Doctor's Orders Present ?uestlove
11th September

The legend that is ?uestlove brings his magic to East Village tonight.

There are few musicians, producers or DJs that can claim to have worked with such a phenomenal array of talent as this Philadelphia native while still leaving his own distinctive mark on each one. The list reads like a who's who of modern hip hop and soul; Jay-Z, Al Green, Erykah Badu, J-Dilla, Common, Joss Stone and De La Soul to name just a handful.

All this before we even mention the fact that he is the founding member & driving force of the world most respected hip hop band The Roots who themselves are now eleven albums deep.

Best for: Real hip hop

Potty Mouth vs Fiesta Warehouse Party Special
10th September

It's the Bestival weekend, and like most people in the Uk, we aren't going. This is a brilliant alternative. A massive carnival style affair at an amazing secret East London venue.

Potty Mouth and Fiesta bring you a host of stellar talent, from NYC hipster Larry Tee to Jac the Disco, Future Sound Of Clapton to Men in Masks.

This will rock you.

Best for: people without Bestival tickets
