Camden Crawl 2010 Launches

Camden Crawl 2010 Launches

21 October, 2009
by: Spoonfed Team

I know, I know, it's not even Christmas yet, but if you can stomach the thought of May next year, you'll be interested to know that the Gaymers Camden Crawl has teamed up with Warchild to  launch their 2010 festival today, and there's been some pretty big changes.

First-up, due to the sheer demand for tickets this year, the organisers have moved the festival from its traditional Friday/Saturday format to the May bank holiday weekend, so punters will have the chance to party from midday on Saturday until the wee small hours of Monday morning.

'Crawlers' will also be granted unlimited access to all official festival venues featuring more than 200 live artists, extensive daytime activities and arts programme and after show parties (capacity permitting). In keeping with Crawl tradition and the spirit of discovery, the full line-ups and stage times remain a closely guarded secret until each day and surprise guests may appear at any time and at any venue.

To celebrate this year’s launch, the festivals patrons are hosting a special fund-raising launch gig on Wednesday 4th November at new Camden Town venue The Blues Kitchen. The line-up features a few of the artists appearing on the 'Camden Heroes' compilation, that will be given to anyone who purchases an early-bird tickets.

It cost £8 to get in (unless you've already bagged a Camden Crawl Ticket), and all proceeds be donated in full to Warchild. Watch this space for line-up announcements.

Weekend tickets for the Gaymers Camden Crawl 2010 go on sale 9:00 am Thursday 29th October. Initial line-ups will be announced January 2010. In the meantime, amuse yourself with our interveiws of last year's artists.
