The Spoonfed Comedy Team pick out the best gigs in London this December.

Wednesday 1st-Wednesday 15th December
John Shuttleworth: A Man With No More Rolls
@ Ambassadors Theatre

Sheffiled's finest, the keyboard-bothering 70s throw-back John Shuttleworth is the stuff of comic legend. Known for his deadpan delivery and his appreciation of the simple things in life, Shuttleworth has turned his attention to the moral state of the country. Well that was the plan, but his agent has made a crucial mistake and interpreted "morals" as "more rolls". So Shuttleworth will not only be contemplating serious moral issues, he'll also be getting to grips with the worrying decline of Britain's trusty bread roll. Expect appearances from familiar musical chestnuts, such as the classic I Can't Go Back to Savoury Now.

Sunday 12th-Monday 13th December
Ross Noble: Nonsensory Overload
@ Hammersmith Apollo

Daft, hi-octane and one-of-a-kind, everyone's favoruite spontaneous clown is back in London this month, for two nights only as part of his new tour. Noble's astounding and freewheeling brand of humour, which often relies heavily on improvising and interacting with the audience, has made him one of the most successful cult comedians of our time. Seeing him live is an experience every comedy fan should try.

Monday 13th December
The Horne Section Christmas Bash
@ The Union Chapel

We are big fans of Alex Horne's jazz-infused comedy gigs here at Spoonfed and with an extra special line-up and some festive . For their Christmas show, Alex Horne and his band will be joined by comedy poet Tim Key and twisted pop cabaret monkeys Frisky and Mannish. Expect the Christmas classics to get a musical makeover and general silliness to ensue.

Tuesday 14th December
Tim Minchin Orchestra Tour @ O2 Arena

Live comedy doesn't work nearly so well in cavernous venues like the O2, but for this particular gig, a large performance space is essential (and if anyone can get the whole of the O2 rocking, it's the Minch). Performing with the 55-piece Heritage Orchestra, conducted by the brilliant Jules Buckley, comedy's very own rock star Tim Minchin brings his orchestran tour to London for a very special one-night only gig.

Monday 20th December

Frisky and Mannish's Christmas Mess...age
@ The Lyric Shaftesbury

The musical comedy duo get into the festive mood this month with a stonker of a knees-up; providing some special Christmas comedy mash-ups and pop parodies, with some suitably shiny support in the shape of ingenious mime comic The Boy With Tape on his Face, improv rappers Abandoman and the ever-witty Miles Jupp.
