Dizzee Rascal, Doves and Smokey Robinson Confirmed for BBC Electric Proms

Last night the BBC announced that Dizze Rascal, Doves and the legendary Motown singer Smokey Robinson are all set to play the BBC Electric Proms at the end of October. Now in its fourth year the Electric Proms takes place at venues across London including Camden's Roundhouse.

The Electric Proms are renowned for mixing musical genres and this year The Doves' frontman Jimi Goodwin will be backed by the 40-strong London Bulgarian Choir. Florence and the Machine, Metronomy and Magazine will also be performing at the Roundhouse on Thursday 22 October alongside new films from the winners of the BBC New Music Shorts competition.

Tickets go on sale today and more acts will be announced over the next few weeks.
